Riley Hole
Owner and Meteorologist
My name is Riley Hole and I am the owner and lead meteorologist of Prairie Weather Services. I graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science in Geography with a specialization in Atmospheric Science. I grew up farming outside of Virden, Manitoba and know the importance and value of timely and accurate weather information to industries that are at the mercy of mother nature.
I was a forecaster with Environment and Climate Change Canada for a number of years before pursing a career in the private weather industry. I started Prairie Weather Services because I felt like there was a disconnect between weather forecaster and client. Weather forecasts were becoming too generic, computer dominated, and not useful to their clients. I was tired of weather forecasts and information that carried no weight and no value to its clients who make their livelihood outdoors in the elements. I knew that I could create a useful and meaningful product that could really help a wide variety of industries make more informed decisions regarding weather issues.
Wade Vandoorne
IT Specialist
My name is Wade Vandoorne, I am currently enrolled at ACC for Communication Engineering Technology and am pursuing Computer Science in the upcoming years at Brandon University. I grew up on a farm outside the small town of Boissevain Manitoba, and grew up with the love and interest of new technologies. I try to take care of the technical side of PWS in the means of workstations and servers.
I pursue graphic designing as a hobby and have sold several graphics a logos in the eSports industry to a wide range of teams. I have the technical know how to build custom workstations and have been building computers since early 2016.
